MSP Recapp has a guided onboarding flow that walks you through every step below. The main difference between plans is whether you bring your own PostgreSQL database or let MSP Recapp manage it for you — everything else is the same.
1

Go to app.msprecapp.com and create your account. After signing in for the first time, you are automatically redirected to onboarding.
2

Enter your company name

Type your MSP or company name. MSP Recapp checks availability and generates your portal URL in the format your-company.msprecapp.com. Click Continue to move to plan selection.
3

Choose a plan and set up your database

Select the plan that fits your needs, then complete the corresponding setup step.
The Free plan requires you to connect your own PostgreSQL database. MSP Recapp does not host data on this plan.
  1. Provision a PostgreSQL 14+ database with a provider such as Supabase, Neon, or Railway.
  2. In the Connect your database step, enter your database host, port, name, username, and password.
  3. Click Test Connection to verify the credentials are correct.
  4. Once the test passes, click Submit for Approval.
You must connect a database before you can add integrations. If you skip this step during onboarding, go to Settings > Database after approval to enter your credentials. Your database connection details are encrypted before being stored.
4

Wait for account approval (Free tier only)

Free tier accounts are reviewed by a platform administrator before activation. Approval typically takes less than 24 hours. You’ll receive access once your organization is approved.Paid accounts are activated automatically after payment — no waiting required.
5

Add your first integration

Once your account is active, go to Integrations and click Add Integration. Enter the credentials for your PSA, RMM, endpoint security, or backup tool.See Integrations overview for a full list of supported platforms and the credentials each one requires.
6

Sync companies and devices

After adding an integration, trigger a sync to pull your companies and devices into MSP Recapp. You can sync individual integrations from their detail page, or run a full sync from the dashboard.
7

Review the coverage matrix

Open Device Coverage to see your coverage matrix — a per-organization view of which devices are present in which integrations. Gaps, duplicates, and stale check-ins are highlighted automatically.
8

Map unmapped companies

Each integration brings its own list of company names. MSP Recapp attempts to match them automatically, but some will need manual mapping. Go to Organizations to review and map any unmatched companies across your integrations.
